iPod Error 1418

Anyone know how to fix this? There is unlimited amounts of threads and stuff on the internet but no one seems certain, just wondered if anyone has had any personal experience. The iPod is 5th gen and was originally formatted to mac but when i try to click restroe on my PC it stops whilst doing it and says "error 1418" and won't restore

For anyone else that had this problem... despite the huge amount of reading available on the internet to do with the subject i thought i'd put up what i found, the error seems to be computer related rather than iPod related, so if you want to restore your iPod, just try it on another computer if this fails, then good luck....
