both of them leads will work but only one or the other they both connect via the bus in on the h/u (changer input) just one has 3.5mm jack to connect straight to the headphone socket on your external audio source whilst the other just has left/right audio rca again a male rca to 3.5mm jack can be purchased for 9.99
