As above really, thinking of buying a DA kit from i4detailing but they do some for soft to medium paints and medium to hard! heard people say BG is hard :/

BG is the same as any RenaultSport Clio paint. They were sprayed in the same booth, using the same lacquer and baked at the same temperature.

Unless it's been resprayed... The S3 is rock solid, bar the front and rear bumpers as they have been sprayed to rid of marks over the years.

Re the original question, stick with the Menz 3.02 and 85FF range with a DA and you will be fine on most paints.

Go and polish a German car and tell me that BG is a hard paint lol

Funnily enough i'm in the process of doing my mums golf, it's taking a while! lol.

2bh i think it might have been down to the depth of the defects in my paint from the previous owner and the fact it's taking a while to get them out, along with me still learning. Probably not as hard as i think!

Indeed Russ, reminded me of the FRS and the FRP in some ways. Medium but never too much hassle with the right combos.

But not soft compared to a Honda or Mitsubishi

I'd say its 2-3 on a scale of 5 (1 being softest)
