behind the front door cards on a mk1, there is space for speakers to be added, even though there is no cut out for them? Ive been told there is, but I would like to hear it from someone trustworthy!

My valver came with infinity coaxials in the front so should be yes!

Yes it is mate. For 13cm ones. When you take the door card off the back is even marked with the area you need to cut out. Dremel took care of mine.
