Is my gearbox going?

More and more frequently it isn't going into 1st gear I've got to take the clutch up and put it back down or push really hard to get it in, same with going into 4th think 3rd and 2nd are ok though? Reverse is being awkward as well

Seems to have got worse since the rubber gaitor came off the driveshaft and I lost half the oil, I topped it up with 1L but drove it round for a couple week with least 1L of oil down?

Am I looking at a new box if so anyone have any idea how long this one is going to last before it stops going into gears completely?

Clutch isn't slipping at all just sometimes its really hard to get it in gears

clutch cable, take it off the pedal and then re tighten it?

Does it crucnh going inot gears or just not go in?

Is the oil full on teh box now?

It doesn't crunch it just doesnt go in unless i really force it or put it back in neutral then try it again?

Gonna get some more oil and see how much more I can get in the box i really hope it isnt the box thou

check your gear linkages m8, i had a similar problem with my mk1

Also sometimes it goes into gears too easily, ie it goes into 3rd way to quickly and makes a bit of a crunching noise??

Yeah gear linkage is a bit off, if you dont' know what you are doing you;'ll be there for hours, take it to a garage

basically there is a 2 part bar that goes from gearstick to gear selector fork on gearbox this can be made longer or shorter to be able to select all the gears
