Is this laptop any good ?

The GF is looking to buy a new one. She will be using it for uni but understanably does not want to buy a new one every year as its out of date, so what i am asking is :

1. Does the laptop seem like a good one ? Could you buy better for the same money ? sorta thing ? if so any links or recomendations etc ?

2. As it is not listed as having a dual core processor will it be a bit future proof so to speak ? or is it worth look for one with a dual core processor ?

It's OK.
The X2 is dual core, just AMD's version.

I'd definetly look at dell.co.uk though for equivilent spec.. as I think you might be able to beat it.
