Is this possible?

Is it possible to fit wider tyres on my standard 16" 172 alloys mk2?

Ive got 195/45/r16 on at the mo, just wondered if i could fit 205/45/r16 on them so i have abit more stability etc?

Anyone?

i asked this Q a while back... and i'm looking to buy 205/45/16's to replace my 195/45's.

Carbon
..... what would be the advantages/disadvantages of running 215 in a 172cup? Would they rub on full lock do you know?

ok then has anyone noticed any differences with having wider tyres, i.e any better handling? etc also is it ok to run wider tyres at the front and keep my backs at 195/45/r16 for a while?

on the road? no real advantage at all

...on track the greater footprint and slimmer sidewall would be beneficial. but the ride would suffer.

...but who's bothered about ride quality in an RS?! ;)
