Yep - its amazing how they get that 2.0l in there - I thinkk they lower the car onto the engine instead - lol

It sure does look like it.

Tony....The lump goes in from the bottom, mine did when they had to drop the whole lot out to change the gearbox. It also means its all got to come out for the clutch and the cam belt too.....Not much room!!!!!!

thats a poor photo really. when u look at your 1.2 engine it looks so small inside the engine bay. ive seen the 2.0 engine and it is tight likes, but i can see how they fit it in.

I think he mean that in the flesh there looks more room around the 1.2 than the picture shows. Ive seen both as I had a 1.2 hire car and after seeing the 172 engine in there the 1.2 looks tiny with loads of room.

Even checking the oil on the dipstick you loose skin off your knuckles on the 2.0L

The same happens in the 1.4 16V...but why bother when you can see your oil level from the drivers seat
