I thought it looked pretty cool! lol. Well i want induction to sound better but going by people on here, open filters cause heat soak and so less power!

I had a similar designed induction kit on my 106 GTi. Sounded awesome, and made quite a bit of difference. It was made by eccosse but simota made a similar kit, though it wasn't as well made.

I'm actually quite interested in this, as it should sound pretty awesome lol. And should help prevent heat soak to some degree, although it looks like fibre glass??? so not sure how effective it'll be at it.

That Simota is in many threads on here mate, have a search about. Its meant to draw in heat from the rad :(

Ill give the standard Cliosport responce: Get a Maxogen for £350 or a panel for your standard box.

LOL yeh i know about that and i know about the simota. But this isnt a standard simota. Isnt like the ones ive seen before!

I just want something a bit different! Something with a nice sound and a less restrictive air intake.

That Simota has been spoken about before on here, I know its not the expensive carbon one as I was looking at it to. Meant to be very loud and bring in hot air, I was disapointed to. At the moment im toying with the idea of getting a Simota twin charger system which moves an open filter to in front of the battery which must get rid of of the heat soak from the engine!?

Andy!! FFS!

Just buy the £10 jobbie. Fit it and see what you think. If you like it happy days!! If you don't, just refit your old one and you've only lost a tenner.
