I *think* the phase 1 172 has bigger exhaust ports. I'm sure someone will confirm this. Iirc, the phase 2 172 and 182 lumps are pretty much the same bar the exhaust set up

Nope its true on the exhaust side of things on the ph1s, and by quite some margin as well!

this is kind of the truth. Inlets on later ones aren't so much bigger, as more detailed with CNC porting
