ISIT A NEW DRIVESHAFT OR CAN YOU BUY CV JONTS

hello my cv joint is gone (clicking in lock only in drive) and im just wondering if i can replace the cv joint or do i have to buy a full shaft? i heard a that i have to buy a new shaft but dont know if its true lol , Jay

The only boot that cant be replaced is the inner one on the drivers side shaft.

Cheap enought to get the complete drive shaft I would think. Changed both on my DCI for roughly round £100 ( using eBay ) not had any issues yet.

I would think you can get the cv joint kit still, what engine is it?

its a 1.2 16v and i think its inner drivers side are they common like? cheers lads

Not sure buddy, not had a 1.2 to find out lol.

Have a search on eBay mate, plenty on there, renparts on here aswell

Sorry pal, its full driveshaft job, the CV boot can be replaced (the rubber cover) but the CV joint is one part with the shaft

Eurocarparts do the full driveshaft with bearings and boots etc for 55 quid though

Or renparts for 25-30 for a second hand one that would need a CV boot

Euro car parts are a reputable firm, never had any ssues with the stuff I have bought

Genuine driveshafts only on Sports, not sure about lower specs

clicking c.v joints are normally the outer joint. can get replacement outer joints for non sport ones for around £25.
