Issue with importing RAW photos

Iv set my camera to take raw pictures etc and it worked fine.

Now all of a sudden its started importing them as JPEG instead of NEF :S

Im using MAC btw and doing it through iphoto. It worked fine before. Any idea why?

I think its something to do with a setting on my macbook? A bit stuck tbh

any help?

I'd suggest it's an iphoto thing, as mine's never done that (I never use iphoto)

How does yours work mate?

As mine doesn't recognise it as an external thing it just comes up as a device in iphoto

Are you sure it doesn't show up on the desktop too? I turned auto import off in iphoto as it annoys me, and when I plug in the D40 it just comes up like a USB stick would. It's always done that though, Soph's does the same.

Iphoto shows the pictures are JPEGs, but if you go into your iphoto folder on the hard drive all the RAW files should be there
