in the process of buying a itg maxogen kit , just wonderered if am better fitting a cold air feed from the grill or is it ok to use the standard 1 for the standard airbox as its already in the right sort of area

Just use the standard one.

No harm in fitting a better caf. The stock ones can easily be improved upon
