I've FINALLY decided!!

  Golf GT & A4 Avant
IMO if someones looking at the RS192, there after a fairly quiet, civilised system. The Yozza is far from this and one of the noisest systems I've heard.

  Mazda 3 MPS Mk1
But it's fit quality Is shite, I'd go yozzasport or piper tbh the two best built systems available

  e92 + E46 M3 + Cup
From the amount of systems we fit too the 182's I would go for the Milltek, Nice fit, still not asbo loud with a de-cat and nice tips, they had some welding issue's a while back but haven't seen any issue's/returns for a long time now!

I'm a fan of the yozza for the build & noise when on the power but for a daily they are bloody loud, and thats coming from me with an already asbo car! with a de-cat you'll also struggle to get on some tracks with 95db limit

Mine made 96db with a cat!

I appreciate what your saying Dave but they're completely different systems. I myself am a fan of the Piper and plan on getting one next. but TBH when I saw the build quality of the RS it didn't look that bad, but can't ignore the poor/ difficult fitting stories

How about a ktr sports version with mid silencer?

I've got one with no mid silencer, sounds nice with the cat in, loud as f**k with cat out.

The one with centre silencer is quiet and has a nice tone.

Build quality and fit are both great

AHHHH you guys ae confusing me!

Birchdown advised on a RS192. I dont want a Yozza....too loud. I guess ill go with Milltek then?

  Lionel Richie
yozza 182 is NOT i repeat NOT loud, i designed the b*****d thing, its deceptive, inside the car it isn't loud, outside it is (yes i am a clever f**ker)

i challenge anyone to find a 182 exhaust that is as quiet @ 70-80mph on a cruise as the yozza, you won't

i'm fed up of all the b****cks on the internet, with a decat its louder, but even then you will get on a 98db track day with no problem

RS192 fits s**t

Miltek made s**t and is louder IMO than a yozza

all FACTS

Fine! You know what? Im gonna get a yozza! Youre so passionate about this and seem pretty certain ill love it yeah? My local garage will have no worries fitting it then?

  Lionel Richie
a blind man with no arms who's drank 20 pints of stella could fit it

problem being is there are none available until the first week of feb (long story!)

if you can't wait that long then get a janspeed from them direct, quiet and well made

sorry for the rant, just fed up of stupid myths on the internet from people who have gay ears and no understanding/appreciation for quality even when it slaps them thrice around the face and kicks them in the balls just for good measure too

Boosh has a yozza & decat on his 182 and its stupidly loud lol...

Ktec ulta silenced is barely louder than normal on the mway & my preference for the mileage i do.

I now rock a BTB though, its epic

I fail to believe that. Will soon find out anywany. I'm hoping you are correct! :approve:

As Fred said, the yozza with the cat still inplace is fine and at m-way speeds no louder than standard, and that is a fact gents.

(with the decat it's a different story) did my tits in lol

I dont really understand the myth of the Yozza being the loudest. In one of my Threads, I went to brandshatch and got it tested at 95db, that was with a cat.
Then went to a RR, and with a certain clio running a miltek and decat, against mine with a yozza and decat, his was as loud, if not a touch louder, the yozza sounded better wth a rasp.

A quick Google image search reveals the following...

PS: I know what you mean ;)

I cant fault my RS192 really...

Only thing it needed was raising slightly higher in the exhaust mounts as it sat too low.

+1

Maybe the sound machine was fucked, but at cadwell my yozza + cat ran 96db.

And after going out in a car with a decatted yozza it was stupidly loud, amazing noise but so very loud.

I dont think i/we have gay ears, i just think freds going deaf from all the load yozza's ;)

RS192 catback pissed me off a little bit. It did make a slightly nice noise, but not enough to hear it over my maogen sometimes.
I LOVE it with a decat though. Spot on.

Well maybe i should look at janspeed and go with freds advice because i want the standard one off before february if there is a waiting list for yozza! The Milltek doesnt seem to be much lighter than the standard one which sucks. Is the Janspeed one alot lighter?

Im going with the janspeed supersport and decat, just contemplating wether to order it now or in a week or two when the snows gone and it stands a chance of getting delivered.

A few people have reported problems with either 1 or both of the tailpipes sticking out far too much on the Janspeed systems, I've not seen them follow up with a cure yet though.

theres just no winning, and Fred, the 2 cars I've seen, been in with Yozza systems were far too loud for me to use on an everyday car, hence looking at gay systems lol

what is it exactly that makes an exhaust difficult to fit, is it that they are all manufactured different so a tailpipe could be out.

They should all be made on a jig so should be near as damn it the same. Some designs are more susceptible to expansion as they get hot and some just take a bit of time to tweak and get lined up. Even the order you put the parts together has a difference to how they sit initially.
