Completely missing my point....

Lock thread, delete thred, ban hammer me.

What is your point???

You say that chave modded cars are not what you're saying, you say that stripped track cars is not what your saying, and you also say that lowered on turinis with a Yozza exhaust is not what you're saying.

So what the f**k are you actually getting at??

  Golf 7R
Turini's etc.. may be a trend or style that a lot of people follow, but it's for the simple reason it's the best look for the Clio imo!

A few stunning examples on here!

Pics of Corsa's to get my point across...

Now these are all fairly standard corsa's, mostly vauxhall parts... Not big stupid body kits and lexus lights like you've all straight away presumed I was talking about...

Few examples...

(Thats mine)

Now do you get my point now? All them are done with Vauxhall parts or Vauxhall Specialist companies (except the wheels on the red one), I was just asking is there not that range of options for Renault and is that why you get alot of the same stuff???

RS Clio's are good looking cars standard.

Corsa C's arent.

Theres your answer.

Oh and i used to own a Corsa C and modified the look of it, but i find you tend to grow out of sticking bits of plastic to the car.

Here on CS, it's all about what we can take off the car not add! Extra weight ftl

I rekon most people cosmetic mod cars because of insurance.

Most people who are 17-21 cant really afford the £1000+ policy (no fronted policy here) for a 2.0L car anyway, so make do with what they had.

Like me, i had my 1.2l clio, and modified it to look like a higher model, as most people in corsas/puntos etc etc do.
Where as now i have my 1.6l fiesta tdci, i feel the need to change cosmetic yes but just colour coding mouldings, but the change for more power. So my idea has moved on from uprating a lower model, to upgrading a faster car to a faster again car.

Thats my logic.
Heck im even doing a 1.8l 16v change in my mark one as i want the power.

f**king LOL!!!!

The first three all have:
Tinted windows
Same or very similar wing mirrors
Five spoke alloys of a similar style
Headlight eyebrows
Subtle styling mods.

The first two are nearly identical bar the colour!

YOU HAVE NO POINT!

I thought exactly the same mate.

Irmscher and Steinmetz stuff may well be Vauxhall approved, but for the most part, it looks gash. The only decent Irmscher kit is the tackle you get on Vectra B GSi's. Subtle, but sporty.

Every Corsa C I see round my way looks like the ones in your pictures: Smooth bootlid, Irmscher grille and mirrors, shotgun backbox, slammed on it's arse. To me, that shows lack of imagination, it's just following a trend. A bog-standard looking 1.2 LS with a C20LET would be a much better modified car in my opinion.

I'm not a fan of over modified cars, sleeper is my preference.

Its down to the type of people. I was on corsasport.co.uk for 3 years when i got my first car and lets just say there was a lot of chavs with a lot of over the top chav mobiles. This place is completly different!

  RB Clio 182
The reason imo there is'nt many 'maxed up' cars on here is because a cliosport is a car you wish you could have when you first drive.. it looks good, handles really well and is fast, but when you first pass your test you wont get insured on a clio sport unless you want to pay a lot of money. So you wait till you can afford one, by that time your not bothered about asthectics your more worried about making it faster and you tend to (or i do) look at bodywork modifications as ruining the car. Don't get me wrong there are a lot of good mods out there and i have respect IF they are done well, its just not for me. Iv done subtle mods to my 182 but only things i feel will improve the cars performance. Plus driving round in a RB clio turns enough heads anyway

Yeh the first two are quite similair but still both very different, you'd need a spec list to see why really, alloys aren't the same at all :dead: Anyways besides the point, ive got the answer I was looking for in the last few posts and thats... it's more performance and weight saving based on here, thats good enough for me.

Understand what you're saying shuffle that Cliosport owners are generally of a particular age and have already got the 'adding' to a car out of their system, makes sense, and I too will prob take the same approach... But hopefully with a unique ideas :p

Cheers
