Im sure none of the mods were anything to do with it! My dad (who's 182 it is) gets a bit over excited at times and tends to over rev and in this instance missed a gear! Oopsie

looks like it was "ever so slightly" over revved though.... ooops.... did that once myself.

rev limiter is fine.... its kinda like when you mean to go into 4th and you get 2nd.... revola!
 
I nearly did that (2nd instead of 4th) on the first day I got my Cup, nearly soiled myself. New 182 engines aint 'that' expensive from J3ned so hopefully it will be back to full strength asap.

indeed. the price is supprisingly good from matt, there are a few others as well that do well priced engines.

surely over revving it once wouldnt make it go bang,are you sure it wernt a fueling problem?

Go for a drive in your car rev it to max revs in 3rd gear then put it into 2nd instead of 4th and see what happens.

it was mapped to the correct fueling about 12 months ago.... i guess one of the injectors could have caused it.... but

i called chris earlier about it, and he buzzed very shortly before it let go.... slightly coincidental.....

i am taking a look at the old engine to work out what happened.
