Jacking up car

Hello guys, im going to be jacking up my car 2morow to adjust the height. I have got a trolley jack and axle stands, where is the safest place to jack it up from and the safest place to put the axle stands?
P.S my girlfriend just read this and replied "The driveway"!!!!!
