This weekend I got my mitts on Jacob’s lovely Inferno Megane.
I went and picked it up from his hotel and straight away noticed just how clean it already looked, to be expected tbh after seeing his ph1 in the flesh last year at CSS. I was disappointed though as I like to work with things a bit rougher!
Driving it back to the unit was fun, pop and banging all over the place and people staring so much I may aswell have been windmilling myself out the window down the M25. Great fun!
Any way back to the unit, as you can see, not exactly lacking in shine! It did however seem to be lacking the sparkle I like to see with Inferno so that was my target!

Started off as usual with the wheels, AF Imperial does the job, along with my wheel woollies…

Then 2BM with AF Lather and CarPro mitt…

Then onto Decon, I hadn’t realised I’d run out of Tarx until Wednesday, Carpro had none so Iwaqs left to order Trix the tar and iron decon spray. It arrived in 24hrs so well and truly chuffed with the service as usual! I must say I was quite impressed with this prosuct having been warned off of it a few times…

Rinsed and then clayed, there was hardly anything left on the clay once finished so quite happy with that. It was then washed and dried and taken inside for inspection.

A fair bit of difference between maximum and minimum finishes but all the paint itself looked spot on. I tried and tried to get pictures of swirls and RDS, it was literally impossible so I gave up and started selecting a combo that would work. Starting off with rotary, green hex pad and Carpro’s Fixer…
1st Stage by scrooge89, on Flickr
Nice, product tbh, was a fair but dustier than I expected but no worse than other products. Work time was ok and the correction level for the amount of passes I did was fantastic. I did however find that it needed a little refining, I wasn’t happy to leave it finished at just that so switched to DA, blue hex and Carpro’s Reflect!

Really enjoyed this combo, Reflect is an amazing product. Pretty much zero dust, incredible working time with excellent results!
Once I was happy it was time for cleansing. I hadn’t used Tough Prep in a while so I went with that, I forgot how nice it was to use tbh…

Then the first layer of Reload went on..

I’ve used pretty much all my stash of this which is annoying so will order more next week as it feels wrong not having it in my cupboard!
I then set about every thing else, engine bay attacked with AF Verso then 303 on top…
Aerospace Bayh by scrooge89, on Flickr
AF dressle on outside and interior plastics…

Meg Endurance on the rubber…

Exhaust cleaned and protected with metal twins…

Once all that was done and the hovering sorted it was treated to another layer of Reload!
Then onto the finished pics…

I’m glad I managed to get a little bit extra out of an already superb car, by the time I finished I was struggling to find a sunny spot to really show off the pop in the paint. The colour is simply amazing in the right light that’s for sure!
I loved doing this car, loved driving it and I’m still shocked at how mint the Recaros were under those seat covers!
Thanks
