JAVA help

Hi anyone any good with java?

I have uninstalled version 6 and installed the latest version 7 for my windows 7 64bit machine.

When i go to the test my java page it still shows I have nothing installed no matter how many times I install it.


What could be the problem?

Did you install 64bit and 32bit versions?

You need to install both if your using 32bit browser.

is IE9 a 32 bit browser? I just have windows 7 64bit...

anyway i have now installed both and i still get

"No working Java was detected on your system.
Install Java by clicking the button below."

IE9 is both depends which one you run, most people run 32bit by default.

have you told your browser its allowed to run java applets?

In ie9 its in tools (the gear on the right) > Manage Add-ons.

also if the above doesn't work, does the java icon show in the system tray?

Reinstalled windows and is fine now
