PMSL @ the Fairy stripping lacquer.

Test it on that Rusty 182 Paul won't cause any harm that way !

Yeah a lot of people still seem to use some Fairy in a dishbowl, an old sponge and a hose with a dirty old leather that has been handed down generations.

I remember using this process when I was about ten on my Mum's black 3 Series at the time, that I started on a BOILING hot day and got bored half way through. Even at the time I remember thinking "this looks terrible" - if I saw it now I would probably cry in ruining the paint like that! I think my dad said "thanks" to me but on the inside he was probably fuming!

Interesting.... ihave loads of ag to get through so I will have forgotten to try it next time i buy some shampoo

Ingredients
Water, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, PEG-80 Sorbitan Laurate, Sodium Trideceth Sulfate, Sodium Chloride, PEG-150 Distearate, Fragrance, Tetrasodium EDTA, Quaternium-15, Citric Acid, Red 33, Red 4

Sodium Chloride is salt, you may aswell wash your pride and joy in fairy liquid, yes this will most definitely strip wax, and will accelerate corrosion on the vehicle, like washing your car with a winter road de-icer solution
Nice, sounds like we should all wash it in Fairy Liquid.

EDIT - Just read on and people say they cannot see that ingrediant. Ill take a look at mine later. Maybe Ali could tell us first though.

^ You know Sodium Chloride is just common salt though right? Its not THAT bad (Although wouldn't be washing my car with it - it is designed or dishes after all!)
