  Fiesta RS Turbo & Pug 206
I have some 0/40 mobil fully synthetic oil left over ( 5 litres to be exact )from when i had my cossy and was wondering if i could use it in my 172 ????

It should be 5w40 or 10w40, although 0w40 may be ok. I used 0w30 before as it was all I could get. Oil pissed out through the seal on the filter and wrecked my engine!

It should be fine!! 0 - 40W is same stuff as 5 - 40W viscocity wise once the engine is up to normal temp. I have used 5 - 30w (Mobil too) as well but the oil seems to be thinner than needed and it creates crap in the throtle body fairly quick thru the venting house that goes form the head to the intake. Next I will swap to 40W. Mobil is good stuff me thinks!!!

its 100% fine, the 40 is the same (viscosity of the oil at 100degC)

the 0 is infact better than a 5W or a 10W as it goes to a lower temp (i think, i'm sure someone will correct me)
