Not by the magazine that counts at least? The CTR is a great car, but in my experience when the engine note gets boring, the car is largely unrewarding and the steering is dull as dishwater in comprison to the Clio. Its a better car but it sure aint more fun to drive and it sure isnt better value. Anyway the picture was just for fun

Not sure mate, I know Autocar did some tests in the Cup, but theyre the same car anyway so it doesnt really matter. If the 182Cup is voted x, then the 182 with Cup packs should be x +1...-1 for being slower

imo a hot hatch is a small car........ and the Honda isnt a small car, i love the Type Rs! But in a higher league, ie the megane RS and focus

Id love to have mine slammed like that. Id never have to go to work as Id never be able to even get out of my own f*****g garage or off the drive without grounding. And god forbid trying to get into the car park at work. Id have no front bumper.

yup, the hybrids do seem to be quicker, but mostly its down to using low mile engines usually megane bottom ends... winstons is a flying machine, but so was 2 lives std after rebuild and Northys bros is rapid as well. unfortunately my 24k engine only ever ran with cams in so i cant really tell, but it batters 182s and CTRs for fun... but then i suppose it should really...

Williams is a great car and before i bought the 172 i considered a valver or williams but decided against it (for reasons i really cant be bothered to go into) so why cant both parties stop bickering about which is best.
Im sure 10 years ago all the 5 turbo owners were telling the owners of spanking new williams their cars were sh*t and werent hardcore or fast enough etc.
The game moves on cars evolve and bottom line is the 5 turbo, 16v, williams and 172/182 (be it cup or non-cup variant) are all very capable cars that can embaress far more expensive cars out on the road. Why cant people stop nit picking over the performance and handling differences.
