JUST BOUGHT VALVER

Best £100 i ever spent this year! PMSL

To be serious tho, they are reliable cars, its just when they do go wrong its a b*****d to fix! Theres alota engine for such a small car as you prob already have gathered. Bad combination for labour costs. If you weigh under 7 stone you maybe ok doing most things yourself.

Any history with it? Cambelt been done?

  don't

yea best 2 b a member of 1 of them, am a member of RAC,

come in handy, although not 2 much other day, driveshaft went completely and lost all drive, i have a m8 with a purple landrover and he towed me home, then RAC came round and had a look and told me what i already knew really, waste of time

although they towed my car 2 the garage the nxt day, had 2 lie 2 em a bit and put sum pressure on though, cos i didnt have home service recovery and i was getin them 2 take my car from mine 2 the garage, but they did it in the end

unless u got a m8 who u can rely on 2 always b able 2 tow u if u get a prob id get sum cover 4 peace of mind

Nice one!!!

You got AA/RAC membership?
LOL!

Wouldve been pretty stuffed without it so far this year myself

Been looking at the warranty add ons for membership too, look pretty tempting after the few months people seem to be having with their valvers!

Definately recommend getting breakdown cover matey..

Also you should consider getting a full service done, and replacing anything you dont have a record of recent replacement for.. filters, oil, coolant, plugs, dizzy cap.. might even free up a couple more bhp if the less routine bits have been neglected for a while.

  2004 Racing Blue 182

wel;cometo the world of the VALVER mate!!!

what colour is it and where u from???

scared urself in it yet???

-->NV

  Black Clio 172

I think blue 449 - sports blue -any help wud be appreciated! -im from near MK. And no dont intend scaring myself in the wet!

Yep, looks like 449 mate....and tidy with it! :D Itll be stamped on the oval plate under the bonnet though if you wanna double check. Dunno if halfords do an "off the shelf" touch up kit as i had to get them to mix me a tin of 449 yesterday.....could be wrong though??

  Clio Mk1 Hybrid

is it possible to get away with just spraying parts of a 449blue clio as mines apprently 449blue but looks pearlescent sort of goes from blue to purple dependent on what way you look at it just bought a tin of reno monaco blue and it looks identical got 449blue on vin plate tho hoping to "touch up" the arches

Yeah, 449 can look purplish depending on how you look at it but monaco doesnt, its far lighter once applied - using the both will just look REALLY bad m8! Halfords will mix a tin of 449 for you for only a tenner........

  Black Clio 172

cheers chaps - now the hunt to replace a fog lamp, drivers side mirror and sort a couple of interior switches starts!!

Monaco goes dark blue, light blue, purple in the Sun..

Sports Blue kinda goes to a light blue in the sun..

They dont look that different - until you park them next to each other; then they do..

Whats wrong with putting 449 on a 449 car? Heh.
