just had my first ever go of a 172! leahmk172 nicely offered me the chance of a shot in her stunning red 172 and all i can say is had a little game with a fiat which i blew away once, it christ knows how caught up and then blew it away again, let it catch up and again left it standing!

To tell the truth I wasnt all that impressed with the 172 when I got it...its gotten faster though since Ive owned it, but that might be because I bought it in the height of summer and its now just past the height of winter

my dad just got a red one, but i have to say how uncomfortable the seats are, my back killed when i got out of it,

i hope they soften up a bit soon !

yes it is a 2.5 V6, and yes, the performance is very similar to a 172 (the 156 has a higher top speed just and the 172 has a close 0-60 time). Not at all similar to a 205 diesel though

economy in the 172 is superb i can get 50mpg out of it with aircon on lol
