just formatted my laptop and scrolling on the net is in slo mo...

i just formatted my laptop as usual, installed xp pro, kaspersky, my wireless card and firefox, thats all thats on the laptop, when on the net and i start to scroll the whole computer goes into meltdown, its as if its in slow motion and my cpu usage goes sky high, basically cant do anything, cant even play a vid in media player without stuttering and freezing.

ive formatted my pc and laptop loads of times with no problems whatsoever, anyone got any idea what this could be?

ive tried all the different scrolling options in both window and firefox but nothing changed

You need to reinstall your chipset driver mate, and a graphics controller driver.

That will fix it.

Post the spec/model.

Yeah what ozzoid said. Mine is an Acer Aspire, and when I installed my new laptop, my graphics were pants, even thought its an ATI Radeon 1400+.

I just went to the Acer website drivers page and downloaded everything I needed.

On mine the spec is written on the laptop on a sticker in the bottom corner. Think all Acers are like that. What make and model is yours?

go to your device manager which is in system properties undere the hardware tab. Everything without a driver will have a yellow ! I think or a yellow ?
