Just got 16v De-Cat

My old man has just got my de-cat fitted today for my car and apparently it sounds no different at all.

I thought it would sound alot louder. It is the BBTuning unsilenced de-cat pipe and i would have expected it to be loud.

Do they sound loud at normal driving? Or only when being given some stick(Because my dad will be driving it like a girl)?

How come ever1 says that they are feckin loud!! Then when i get mine it is the same as befor it was fitted. I was really looking forward to the sound of it.

I had a decat pipe and a magnex backbox. The only Silencer was the backbox and that was f**kING LOUD!!!

Would have thought it would be louder as your removing a silncer

i just got my decat pipe taken out on sat as it was far too loud (the guy i bought it from had it put in) it was a scorpion pipe and it has a full magnex system,it was really loud!!! it has quietened down a bit but not loads!

mine was definately louder. i had it off for a week a few weeks back for the mot and it was much quieter with the cat. magnex full s/s

mine pops so much now on de-acceleration cos of the de-cat, sounds superb!

i liked the popping sound as well when de accelerating but it was just too loud doing constant 70 on by pass,gave me sore heads, lol

I feckin hope mine is loud. The magnex exhaust is nice for the average car but i want more noise!!

mine is loud but its no a valver just a 1.2 16v but hey its fin loud!!!

I went out in 16vPie Valver about a motnth ago just after he had his de-Cat fitted, we both have the same exhaust and hes was quite a bit louder, but it just kept popping all the time, sounded good!!!! I got my De-Cat at home now just gotta get it fitted.

I got a K-Tec system and decat, bloody loud but sounds sh*t hot when changing gear whilst motoring as car gives a loud single pop between changes, had loads of people asking was it turbo as they seem to mistaking it for a dump valve, I have to say unfortunetly its not though
