Just nipped to the cash machine in my slippers and P'J's

and the bloody car breaks down! Got back in after getting some money, turn the key, all dashboard lights come on, fuel pump makes its noise, click the key over to start, ---- then nothing - - - - Try again, nothing. Tried again, holding the key on start, then after 10 seconds, it stutters and starts normally. It now starts OK. What could this be?
