I know there were a couple of peoples doing 182 manifold conversions on their 172's and link pipes / cat adapters were being discussed.
I'd mentioned I had a cunning plan for mine as it's due an MOT and the K-Tec cat was way out of budget with everything else going on, as was a new cat from renault (the main reason for the change was a dead standard cat in the first place)
Just picked this up from my magic welder guy to finish my conversion off, cost £90 all in using a RAMAIR sports cat from ebay and paying him to weld it all up.
Only PIA was cutting my old 172 cat up for the end flanges, but he's done well using recycled pipe, and i have a genuine (slightly shite) renault cat to weigh in.
