Im thinking of buying a jvc AVX1 but once its all set up is there anyway i can get the audio remote control on the steering wheel to work with it as i know when you put in another headunit other than the standard one it doesnt work.

InCarTec produce convertors. Basically 2 part systems, a little loom for the car and one for the head unit, so in your case you need one for the clio and one for a JVC HU. Just checked and the AVX1 is supported by the JVC cable, below are links to the 2 products you need:

HU adapter - http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=3484

and either...

Car adapter

if your car has a dash display - http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=3474

or...

if your car doesn't have a dash display - http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=3473

Hope that helps

All that just to make the audio control work with it.

If i aint dont bother having the audio controls for it can i just install the jvc product and use it as normal or do i still need them products for it to work ?

I can just install and im away ?

Well you buy one bit for the car then the other for the make of head unit. Only a little bit of wiring. It basically means you don't lose the dash display and steering controls, as these are all done thru the yellow iso plug that goes into the back of the standard radio. But you can use the JVC fine without them, but if you do have a dash display then you will lose this.
