K-tec & their grills

Well I hope someone else can clarify this for me, coz im not happy!

My mate with his 172 wanted the ktec grills, and I agreed to buy his old 172 one off of him, well i rang him up after he got back from ktec on saturday after having his exhaust fitted on his 172 and he said he got both upper and lower metal grills they sell, well I ask if i can pick up the old one and he said that (im not 100% whether he or ktec fitted the grill btw, im sure david will remember if he sees this) that the original one had to be cut apart for the new one to be fitted :O I was absolutely shocked! n annoyed to say the least! i havent had a chance to speak to him to ask if he fitted it or ktec did, but thats a damn expensive grill and now I dont have a 172 grill i can get for cheap

all he said is that he can give me the lower grill which is still intact

well that is how can i put this in a nice way.... fooking stupid, coz if thats true, then u cant get them 2nd hand can you? Coz they would have to be cut away from every car?

how am i supposed to get my hands on one without paying the 170 notes or whatever they cost brand new?!!? I cant believe this, i wouldve thought they were screwed & bolted on?!?!!?

Because, the bright people, buy a Dynamique grill and give that to K-Tec for hacking onto their 172

Hence they then have a 172 grill to sell.

Yeah they do, but they are also twice the cost!

i am very annoyed as i couldve got a very nice grill for cheap!!! upon looking it looks like its just held in with screws n bolts tho?!!?
