K800i charging help

Right in order to get my phone to charge via usb i have to set it to transfer mode which seems stupid as i cant receive calls etc whilst its charging.
Is there a software crack or anything that allows it to charge in phone mode?

You set allow usb charging in this menu?

Nope mine refuses to....thats annoying :S
Dont want to have to send it back tbh

Edit just checking that menu now

It was enabled in that menu so its obviously something wrong with my phone

Upgrade the firmware.

There is another setting in USB in connections.
Or try turning it off reboot and turn it on then reboot.

not that i know of. . .just plug it in and press the back button, and itl work(calls etc), ul only have access to files on the phone, not the mem stick,ul need the sony erricson file manager

At the risk of sounding dense, how can i update the firmware? I've tried rebooting etc but that doesnt work :S

a good programm for phone mode is my phone explorer 6.1 is a freeware and is great for syncronising with the phone and also give like status and all that and lets you send texts. via the PC handy tool.

fo SE phones if anytign goes wonky first call is try SE update. but i founf SEs to be alot more stable if you flash them to standard firm ware not the operator modified firmware.
