k800i Problems!

Only had this phone for a few days and already it seems to be having the same problems as other people have mentioned they are having.

Decides to turn itself off now and again, usually loses connection from computer when transfereing files and is just generally slow sometimes!

Anyone else had similar problems?

My mrs is on her 2nd one now as it turned off its self one and wouldn't come back on for about 2 hours, it then turned off again and didn't come back on at all so she took it back to the 02 shop and they gave her a brand new handset because the phone couldn't be fixed??

So glad i never got one now, they are gash!!

mine crashes a lot, the battery icon disappears, white screen flashes up when writing texts etc but first class phone for home made p**n! 1gb card in mine!

one problem i have with it is my tomtom 510 wont fully recognise it, girlfriends older phone works a treat through it but the k800i wont

My first one had the same problem as Alans mrs's did, seems to be a problem with the first gen ones from what I have read on the net?

my second one is going ok so far, keep my figures crossed

If your having any problems with crashing or any other errors like that, find out your nearest sony ericsson repair shop (usually a carphone warehouse) and they will reflash the phone to the latest firmware (phones operating system) for free under warrently you'll find it should be fine after that and will correct a lot of errors that have been found since the phones release. Sony test the phones before selling them but they constantly change the firmware when they find errors so if your stuck with an older version you may have these errors

No probs with mine and i dont even car if it does feck up, ill just go straight to town and get it replaced, only keep my phones for a year anyway.

But yes, a mint phone, the golf game on it made it for me.

Yeah thats good. Shame there aren't any more levels though. I completed it quite quick.

If your really lucky the camera shutter will become loose, the coating on the keys will start to flake and the joystick (which is not sealed a SE first said) will start to become un-responsive!

Anyone else have any problems using java applications to access the internet Opera mini etc) My wap works fine with the built in broswer but none of the java apps will connect. I have checked the settings and they are using the right account but no luck it used to work but just stopped.

ive got one and had 2 in 5 weeks ! first one worked for a week and then didnt and changed it . second one worked for a month and software failed on it ! just got back yeasterday after 2 weeks without it ! so fingers cross it wont go wrong now !
