Keep her going, or time to move on?

Had my ph1 since june, and she was bang on what I needed when I first got her, something I could tweak and mod over time as my first car, and would get me to&from work easily.

since then, I have a long-distance missus (long distance: 170 miles Kent to Bristol and back probably about 3/4 times a month), and after putting an extra 11k on the clock already, and having things go wrong one after another, is it time to move on to a DCI with better milage? Or keep her soldiering though it?

Just put new tyres on it, but It has a massive blow in the exhaust and will need at least a new mid section, if not more. This evening it stalled when starting up, so a sensor gone? (Need advice on that) and I have a strong feeling the clutch is starting to wear more than I'm happy with.

So the options are, Keep the 1.4 ph1 and get everything sorted until I run it into the ground after a few years, Or move on to a Diesel ph2 I could still mod with better MPG with the money I could spend repairing the ph1. I've been offered £500-600 for the ph1 in a p/x, and Dont have a high budget.

Opinions?
