Kenwood stalk adapters.

Im hoping someone can shed some light onto this for me, Or have an idiots guide. I have an aftermarket HU and got the kenwood stalk adapters and such, but when i connect everything up it still doesnt remember any of the settings on the HU or even let me use the stalk adapter the only thing ive managed to achieve in the past hour was the HU putting the volume upto max or putting it on mute(it varys depending on how it felt at that moment) whenever i connected the adapters. Anyone help with this?

Maybe try just getting the headunit working first without the stalk adaptors, then you'll know if its the headunit or stalk adaptors that are messing it up?
When you say its not remembering the settings, do you mean when you turn the ignition off?

Are the ignition wire (red) and battery wire (yellow) going to the correct wires ie yellow to yellow red to red?
Make sure they are connected all the way to the cars loom.
Is the radio new or out of another car?

Ive had the HU working for a week or so now, came out of my old fezzy, Ive just been out there now and ive got it to remember the settings like an idiot i forgot to wire up the blue lead which is one of the remote power on/off, although the stalk adapter still doesnt work, i dont know if im missing something simple or i have a dodgy adapter, im going to go back to halfrauds tommorow which is where i got the leads from and if it still doesnt help ill see if someone on here can take a look or take it down to local ice installs which i wasnt keen on as there robbing gits for simple stuff like that. thanks for replys

Is it an autoleeds steering control lead?
Get them to order you one from connects2 they are much more reliable
and cheaper!!
It's handy when your the audio manager at halfords lol
