Key lock on side of door.

I just been starring at my car for a while whilst at the computer an pissed of the fact that I have never realy noticed the metal door lock on the passenger side every time I look now I have to look at a different part of the car. I think I 'm even going to turn the car around just so I can't see it.


What your thought on this stupid lock.

never noticed it and never used it, rather it be there tho just in case there is something wrong with the autolocks

Is it 51/52 plate? Some of the early ones I looked at had them on both sides.

I thought renault started only putting it on the LHD driver's side to save money after about 2003?

mines only got it on passenger side, id rather it be there the last ca ri had was completely de-locked and i got locked out of it twice!!!

Lazy frenchies could not be bothered to swap them round so it is on the drivers door when not LHD.

My ph2 172 had em both sides. 182 only pass side.

i'd rather have no locks at all so if the battery in my remote fails i have no way of getting into the car :rasp:

I've jsut got one on the passenger side, but when you actually look at it, it really looks like someone just bodged it on...
I tried using my key in it, but it didn't do anything, the key wouldn't even turn.. (Not sure if thats normal, wouldn't think it was..)

Possibly siezed because it's never been used?

Put a bit of gaffer tape over it, you will never notice its there
