Keys in car... I swear im loosing it

Just finished putting my wheels on, so i go to put the bits back in the boot, i think i put the stuff in the boot, i shut the boot go to put my keys in my pocket and then realise im not holding my keys, im holding a spanner, *sh!t my keys are the boot* hears the car lock in background. How irritating, and no i dont have a spare key. AA has been called. So annoying..

Car shouldn't lock itself when your in the vicinity of it, are you 100% they are in the car? I used to leave mine in there all the time if i was paying for petrol etc (gf sat in car) and mine never did it.
Do you have any other clios in the family as their key will probably open the door.

Well i had just been pumping up the tyres, and its not usually on auto lock, which you set by pressing the lock button down for a second or two, so im guessing that i accidently pressed it... i feel so stupid haha

^^same dont get how it locked unless summit fell on the key in the boot, if so thts well harsh, hope it not too costly, hope never happens to me as i havent got a spare either

Shouldn't have auto locked if the boot is still open. I notice with mine that if you unlock the car and don't touch anything a few minutes later it will lock again but if anything is open it doesn't and rightly so.

The AA man will show you a trick in how to get in no doubt.....

iirc if you open the boot without opening the other doors the car will still auto lock if left?

Mines weird like this... sometimes i'm standing there and the fucker just locks... thankfull i have my keys on me.

Other times i've forgotten to lock it... go up to it one day and click the button only to see it was open... and i havent been to my car in days lol!

Well, whats done is done, i'll just watch the AA man do his thing. Although they said i will have to sign a damage disclaimer so hopefully it wont end up like this....

Very strange, opening any door or the boot should cancel the auto re-lock!
Also the RAID only comes into play when the vehicle is moving! :S

He jacked the car up and put some power into the reverse light switch which put the ignition on, thus allowing the windows to come down

How did you open the windows?

By sticking a rod down the inside of the door and pressing the switch

yup hammer some rubber wedges in to the top of the door
