.....met up down there for the first night of a stag do. In just walking from pub to pub, I spotted five different 1*2s - all black, apart from one flamer.

They seem to like them down there.

FLOL! Well I picked up a m8 of his on the way down on Friday and we both walked into what can only be described as a Star Wars bar. It looked strangely familiar to the pub & American tourist scene in Transpotting. Complete with drinking families (include into that, babies and toddlers) - compulsory pitbull-type dog on a lead and more F-words than I think I have ever heard in a 20 minute window.

Great place actually - as was the next pub afterwards. Then the one after that and the Indian that I think we inadvertently cleared out. The greasey cafe yesterday morning, definitely helped for the drive down to Plymouth.

On a side note Dan - is your business around there? There seemed to be shitloads of 2nd-hand car places that I saw. Competition must be fierce?

I'm quite close to there, but far enough away to never have to venture up there! lol.

There is only one good garage in kingswood, got the best reputation going, all the others are fly by night gangsters that are just dodging the taxman.

i never bought a car from them personally. But my uncle bought his old car from there. had it for 7 years with no problems other than general maintenence.

They seem to have a legendary rep.
