Just found my knock sensor hanging off. I noticed yellow tape around it a while ago, so obviously the previous owner has snapped it while removing the oil filter and bodged it.
I've just done a temporarily job on it and the engine seems to be running fine, have a rough idea on what it does, detects detonation iirc? As the car has probably been running like this since I've had it, I presume it'll be ok to run the car till I get a new sensor?
