knock sensor

put my car on diagnostics today the knock sensor has flagged up and i have a slight misfire . can anyone tell me how easy it is to change ? also how much from renault . its a clio 172 sport ph2 .


also my car failed mt mot today on emissions and the emg light cme on the diagnostics machine says the lambda sensor bank 1 was faulty... ive replaced the lambda before the cat is this the correct one. i also put some engine cleaner into my petrol . im goin back tommorow to see if it will repass.

anyone got any tips for what i should do .

I think the knock sensor is pretty cheap - when mine was in for some other work the garage changed it free of charge as it came up on their diagnostics. I also had a slight misfire before it was changed and it went away after.

Pretty simple, a new one from Renault is around £30 when you buy it get a deepish socket that fits and you will find it to the right of your oil filter
