Knock/vibrate/judder

This has happened on my car for a while now and I've been down to Rentech for them to try and identify the problem but it's been unsuccessful.

I can now get the knock to happen when I want... providing I'm on some uneven ground (e.g. gravel).

If I'm stationary on gravel, turn the steering wheel to a full lock position... as I get near to the full lock position, there's a continuous knocking/vibrating, which is felt and visible through the steering wheel. When I got my mate to turn the wheel while I stand outside, the wheel also kinds of shakes/judders. This happens on full lock on BOTH sides.

Does anybody know what this might be?

Are your trackrod ends and ball joints ok?

If that is what it could be, then I'll have those checked. My car went in for its 76k mile service with Mike/Dave at Rentech a few weeks ago. Nothing was picked up then... but whether or not it's something they'd look for?

Could this also be front wheel bearing(s)?

I get the same thing on my 182 cup I have checked my track rod ends and they seem to be fine how can you check the wheel bearings?

Wheels off the ground, and rock the wheel from side to side and top to bottom to check for play.

Also, while you're at it - check your top mounts!
