Knocking Sound

Alright there guys, for the past few months theres been a noise getting gradually worse when turning right and almost at full lock,major knock happens just before full look, its horrid,what is it

its a 2002 clio 172

Have you checked your driveshaft gaitor mate? Might be a split there.

More than likely to be the suspension tho i think pal.

Outer C.V joint maybe, a suspenion top nut or top mount? thats if its only on steering lock.

They dont have droplinks do they the sports?

If its going 'knock-knock-knock-knock-knock' then its the drive shaft.

If it just goes 'knock' then its suspension related, something has developed some play and you'll have to track it down.

My 172 Cup used to go knock-knock-knock-knock-knock on mid to full-lock and a new drive shaft cured it, tho bizzarrely it turned out to be the inner cv-joint that was in a state.

The 172's dont have droplinks
