knocking under hard accerleration?

any one hard this problem seems to knock from the front whenever i give it the beans.
i realise the solution to this is not to accelerate hard but i think itd be rude not too.

Theres a sticky in this part of the forum!! Ussualy down to an engine mount i believe

It is also possible for the exhaust downpipes to knock on the sub-frame.
I have this knocking you describe but have yet to resolve it. Mines a 04' 172 with 16k on the clock so would be disappointed if the engine mounts had gone.
