koni shocks

Im getting my new clio in 4 weeks looking at lowering it again but fancy getting a full kit instead of just springs got g-max on at the mo 35mm ride qualitys not that bad just wondering if the koni adjustables are any good or should i save me cash and just get springs eibach are supposed to be good?

koni are ok, not overly find of them, mind you im not overly fond of any of the street kits, they are generally pretty poor.

What do u recommend for value then Ben?

Have u heard of KYBs? I think they r a good compromise for an everyday car.

I have Konis on at the mo and hav snapped the adjustable knob so r stuck on hardest setting. lol

value...........erm, the std setup lol

new shockers with springs are actually quite good.

KYBs, if they are the same company as Kayabas are fine aswell.

But if your really going for performance i would check out Leda and bilstein.

Cant complain, obviously mine are a little harsh, but unless uve got silly big wheels, id put them on the softest setting to enjoy lesiurly drivin aswell.

Ive got the spax rsx kit for my clio, love the handerling, i swear it handles better than a rally car, the ride is a bit harsh but thats becuase ive got 17s and lowered 70 mil all round on a very hard damping rate. i could soften it but probably couldnt have people in the back. its all good tho.
