ktr remap

Just saw this on k-tec, sorry if this has been posted but could not find it in a search, what are everyone's views? Anyone recommend me a remap for my 1.2TCE? been offered quotes from angel tuning which are tempting.

we have just finished developing this on our Twingo GT, it produced some nice results, 130bhp. The cars much more drivable through the part throttle and lower rev range

we had to be careful of the low down torque though as it pushes the clutch if your not careful with it

Wouldn't go near Angel Tuning for a remap!

Also would look at uprating your injectors and having a custom map rather than an off the shelf one.

you dont need larger injectors with a stage 1 remap

Never said you did, just saying if you are going to do it, then IMO that do injectors and custom map from word go is best, especially as the standard injectors run at full load on the standard map.

Well thats all well and good, we have our Twingo running 130bhp and 140 lb ft peaks at 1bar boost

Max injector duty is 90% with the remap.

it also goes rich than needed if we wanted too on the map which would also suggest the injectors are not maxed out

So if you think with the remap, the clutch is temperamental. Surely in the heavier Clio, there is even more risk of killing the clutch?

Its only been temperamental when allowed to overboost too low down the rpm range, we have limited this to eliminate the problem.... so its not an issue

They are linked to RS tuning yes

K-tec are or were at one stage also linked to RS tuning
