LAD: Throttle Boddy Conversion

Now I know they don't have a good reputation on here...

...however someone else I know has told me....

That they do a throttle-conversion, with 200+bhp...

...for approx £1500!!

I don't believe it... do you? Is he about to get fleeced?

actually what is it with people that want performance and the fastest tuned car but expect to pay a fiver per 10bhp increase,

if they are going tune a car why dont they do it properly and pay the money

problem is reno`s are cheap and so lads/lasses get them want a bit more power and realise that tuning a reno costs thousands to get 25 extra genuine bhp where in a turbo petrol / diesel thousands would get you well over 100bhp and perhaps more importantly over 100lbft it would be a monster.

Well, according to him.... they have a very good reputation with certain cars... and he's known about them for a while.

He says he's seen an ad in the back of "retro car".

(oh, and a brembo conversion for £400 - can't be the calipers can it!!!!).

sounds way too cheap. thought the omex ecu was £700-£800 at least.

Brembo conversion is under £4000.
Brembo disks £100
Pads under £100
Lines £50
Fluid £20

I wouldn't trust lad with anything.

The £1.5k 200hp coversion consists of a little of head work they don't even remap the engine and they won't put there cars on any other rollers than there own to prove the cars ability.
They have a reputation but its not a good one they charge a fortune and most cars come out slower.

LAD are brilliant - i recommend them highly

My mate took his car there and wanted it De-tuning. They sold him the LAD 200 conversion and it went in with 172bhp and came out with 167bhp - Fantastic ! ! !

LAD are a tuining company that claim 200+ for peanuts. They have never told anyone what they do to the car, nor proved there gains. In truth, they truely muck up your internals as it seems!
