Are the pre and post cat lambda sensors the same on the 172?

However I'm pretty sure that the shorter length works on both so not sure why the different sizes.

They're different sizes for the loom mate. The original loom doesn't go all the way to the post cat, as its the post cat that has the longer length lead.

I'm sure they're both the same as the loom goes to the rear, it did on my Ph2 anyway as was under it the other day.

If u buy the bosch sensor it comes with a crap load of wire so just cut it to your desired length... use the old sensor as a guide...
