The Lancashire Partnership for Road Safety has announced that 96 fixed cameras and five mobile traps will be introduced before the end of the year.
Preston will get another 12 fixed cameras, with two others in Penwortham, five in Chorley, seven in Lancaster and one in Burscough.
Linda Sanderson, communications manager for the Lancashire Partnership for Road Safety, said: "We would not put cameras in where there have not been accidents.
"We have identified where there have been a minimum of eight casualties over a 500m stretch of road in these places over the last three years."
