laptop bios password help *urgent*

hey guys i got a presentation to do in work tuesday. decided to dig out the old laptop and i cannot for my life remember the bios password. this is the one that comes up in a blue box as you switch it on. cannot get into bios either. is there anything i can do to get it up and running? ive got all the xp cd's etc to reformat i just cant.

its an acer travelmate 233x if that helps and it has phoenixbios

How did you do it? Did you just remember it?

There's a jumper on the motherboard, close the contacts for a few seconds, open the contacts and switch it back on.. viola... no password.
