Laptop on helium!

No it's not floating round the room... but all music/vidoes and stuff that i watch, the sound is very high pitched like it's been inhaling helium.

Could anybody help?

Thanks.

Stephen

Any idea how i do this? not very computer minded TBH

right click my computer... properties... click hardware tab.. device drivers.. look for your audio drivers.. remove them.. reboot or check for new hardware and try again.

This will just re-install the drivers you have already.. it might be worth making a note of the device you have and look for updated/new drivers.

On the hardware tab the only things i can click are-
'device manager'
'driver singing'
'windows update' &
'hardware profiles'

nothing about audio drivers :S thanks for your help guys

  Abarth 500 Essesse
device manager > sounds, video, game controllers, sound card will be listed there, but i'd check sound effect manager first, tbh

  Abarth 500 Essesse
control panel, not sure on what it will be called exactly, you might not have one, if its there then it'll be in sound effects, look for pitch or karaoke and turn off all sound effects

  Better than yours. C*nt.
Sound effects. So easy to trigger. Nobody in here has asked what laptop it is - if it's a generic codec then the effects manager should be easy to find on someone else's machine who can tell you ;)
