Laptop Sceen Broken

  Clio 197
Hiya,

I've got a Toshiba satellite pro here (5yrs old).

The LCD screen is working (under flourescent light, you can see that the screen is working), but the backlighting is not working.

So, under normal lighting conditions, one cannot see the screen.

Is there an easy fix to the backlight?

Ta,

Oms.

My laptop did that after less than a year, it was the switch that turns the light off when you put the lid down that had melted, if you can get into it have a look there.
